An Evening with Erin O'Dowd and John L Keck
~ Erin O'Dowd ~
Erinis a Cosmic Americana Singer-Songwriter originally from Tulsa and now based in Nashville. Her lilting vocals often draw comparison to Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn, and her lofty melodies are reminiscent of simpler times. Her 5-piece band combines influences of Classic Country, Psych Folk, and Roots to create a fresh interpretation of Americana and Red Dirt Nation calls her "a powerful and capable solo performer." Her moving songs tell timeless tales of love, endless longing, and adventure, all wrapped up in lush musical medicine for your ears. https://www.erinodowd.com
Erin O'Dowd's debut album, OLD TOWN, was produced by Rolling Stone acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Travis Linville and features Grammy nominated singer-songwriter John Fullbright on keys. The ten song, self-penned gem features a treasure trove of Oklahoma talent, including members of Fullbright's backing band, various instrumentation by Linville, and legendary Midwest pedal steel player Roger Ray of Jason Boland & The Stragglers. OLD TOWN will release May 4th on Horton Records, and O’Dowd will be touring the US extensively in 2018.

The Pilgrim Chapel presents
John Statz- www.johnstatz.com
One of the more prolific and hard-working young songwriters working in the Americana genre, John Statz has released seven studio albums and performed all over North America (including Canada and Mexico) and Europe, all in just a shade over a decade. Throughout that time he’s been writing the kind of songs that float through your mind and stay nestled in your thoughts long after listening (American Songwriter) and it’s been said that his songwriting can stand beside the best and above the rest (No Depression).
Kelly Hunt - www.kellyhuntmusic.com
Kelly is a singer-songwriter of Americana/Roots music. Originally hailing from Memphis, TN, she now calls Kansas City home. Her style is a compelling blend of folk, blues, country, and Appalachian old-time music. She accompanies herself on a 1920s tenor banjo, combining time-honored clawhammer and finger-picking techniques with her own improvised strum-and-pick patterns, which highlight both the rhythmic and melodic distinctiveness of the banjo. But her primary instrument is her voice, which rings out with the powerful clarity of someone who has been singing all her life. Kelly's songs spring from a place of rich imagery and bespeak a genuine love of storytelling.

"People who haven't heard me play ask me what kind of music I make. I want to answer them, and not be rude, but it's difficult to give a 30 second elevator pitch on something you plan to work on your whole life... I don't set out to do 'one thing', so I've started saying 'I write songs for people who love Van Gogh's paintings'. I realize that's not an answer, but I want to have a conversation about what I've written. Even if it means we only get to have it with our eyes when I perform. I want to provoke thought and connect with people. I would also love to see if I can get you to dance, laugh and cry a little." - John L Keck
John is on the verge of releasing a 3 song EP this spring as a series called "Out in the Cold" and is excited to be performing as much as possible throughout the midwest. Listen to the new tracks now on www.johnlkeck.com.

Heather Styka, Mala Gassmann and John L Keck
Heather Styka - www.heatherstyka.com
Chicago songwriter Heather Styka is not afraid to go where others fear to tread and to get a little messy on the way. Beneath sweet, soulful vocals (Portland Press Herald) and nimble finger picked guitar (Dispatch Magazine) lie narratives of vulnerability, strength, and wanderlust, drawn from her extensive touring. These are the sort of songs that take you on a journey and haunt you all the way home.
Styka started writing and performing as a teenager, honing her craft among Chicagos folk community. At the age of 28, Heather Styka has performed for over a decade, released four full-length albums, and toured from coast to coast. She was a 2015 New Folk Finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival, and has performed at the Folk Alliance International and FARM conferences as an official showcase artist.
Mala Gassmann - www.malamusic.ch
Red haired Singer-songwriter and violin player Mala brings folk music right from the Swiss mountains, all the while honoring her celtic, american and classical roots. Her voice shines with simplicity and lightness, going right to the listener’s heart.
Currently she’s writing on her second solo album, that was inspired by her 3 month stay in Austin Texas, right in the the heart of the so called “singer-songwriter folk family” scene. It will be released in 2018, marking her debut as solo artist.
John L Keck - www.johnlkeck.com
